Congress aims to strengthen social work profession to ensure social justice and human rights for all. The Congress also aims to register the responses of Social work profession to the changing situations and response of the profession. ISWC aims to act as a forum for understanding the importance of collective responsibity and social cohesion for sustainable social development and reviting the role of Social work profession between social work fraternity and other stakeholders such as people in general, civil society sectors, funding organisations, government etc.

Objectives:

To provide a platform to Social work professionals to discuss and deliberate on the issues related to social cohesion, social responsibility and social work during the changing scenario and delve into the innovative research and practice

To deliberate upon roles and responsibilities of Social work professionals in changing socio-political context with respect social responsibility.

To share and exchange realities amongst Social work educators, researchers and practitioners to discuss and debate the issues related to social work profession in India and across the globe and reflect upon contemporary issues related to Social work profession and its response.

 

Sub Themes and sessions:

The sub-themes are proposed as frameworks for the detailed deliberations under the theme. What is generally expected are the conceptual, empirical and interventional papers or posters in terms of the causes, consequences, current status, strategic interventions, potential responses in management lines including policies and programmes with social work implications to the education, and practice.
